No I wouldnt suggest relying on it to stream video but its good enough for the basic functions that most tourists are going to need. Thats historically been enough for me for loading maps and navigating which is the most data-intensive activity Im likely to use my phone for while off Wi-Fi overseas. Where T-Mobile drops the ball is in its international calling. Yes t-mobile does limit their Free Unlimited International Roaming to 128 kbps but they dont make that at all clear.
